i want to go back to the days we were wild, i want you to look at me with that old smile. the one that means there's something on your mind. come on, let's see what kind of trouble we'll find. you were the one i could call when i needed something different. no worries, no cares at all, just want to feel the summer. come meet me down by the water, dip our feet in, feel the wonder of these days that feel like forever. you will always be my home my friend. and as we both shall wander our different lives, i know we're just getting older. i won't ask why i just don't see you anymore, don't have the time. but if you ever need me, you know where to find me. i'll be the one you can call when you need something different. no worries, no cares at all, just want to feel the summer. come meet me down by the water, dip our feet in, feel the wonder of these days that feel like forever. you will always be my home, my friend. i know and you know that things aren't the same. but that doesn't matter, things just change. so lay it down and let me know and i'll be around. if you need me.
Track Name: SNOW FENCES
want to go away some place far from here, from these awful ways. there's no care from no one. it's not that far, it's far enough. it won't take long. as long as we want. want to see the lake, want to see the mountains. want to feel afraid by just being no where. don't you wanna? it's not that far.
Track Name: BASEMENT
there was something in the way we just sailed on through those days. never wondered what was next, never guessed it'd be like this. never thought we'd feel this weight, never thought it'd fade away. and even though it's there, it never will be anywhere near where it was in those days. you are so close but far away. even if we're in the same town you're in a different place. how'd the time go by so fast? i watched something that i loved just turn into the past. i can't lift this weight, i don't want it to fade away. and on the walls i wrote that i would never forget what happened in that place. is it over now? is it? never thought it'd fade away, never thought we'd feel this weight. even though i try i just can't get it out of my mind, how much it meant to me. it's not over now. is it?
Track Name: SAY
you know they said we were wrong. we were not. when you are not around, i am not alone. you know they said we were wrong? we were not. when you are not around, i still have something to say because you were waiting for me. i still have something to say.
Really hard to pin down as to what genre this falls underneath ( slacker punk, folk rock, jangle pop) but then the best bands always strive to push themselves and this album sounds like just that: a band having fun with experimenting Alex
